Easton has introduced a new bat in its 2024 BBCOR lineup, the two-piece composite Rope BBCOR.
As the name suggests, the bat has a composite rope wrapped around the barrel internally, that is claimed to deliver a more consistent performance and a wider sweet spot.
In our tests we found this bat to be a great performer but the price is on the higher side.
CATX Composite Vanta & Rawlings ICON are the closest competing BBCOR Bats.

2024 Easton ROPE BBCOR Performance & Analysis
The new 2024 Easton Rope BBCOR baseball bat is here, and the hype about the new barrel tech is real. However, it is yet to be seen whether this rope thing has become a new trend or not.
This roped barrel results in expanding the sweet spot, and hence a more refined performance in the field. Moreover, the light weight of the Rope bat ensures that the young players feel confident while swinging and controlling the bat, and perform confidently in the field.
Also, this Easton Rope bat efficiently eliminates the vibrations upon mishits by a seamless energy transfer and causes no stings to the bottom hand.
Similar options to the 2024 Rope BBCOR in the market are the 2024 Marucci CAT X Vanta Composite, Louisville Slugger Meta, and Demarini CF baseball bats.
Since the high price of this Rope bat is a concern for young baseball players, Marucci Vanta composite makes a durable and budget friendly alternative and costs around $100 less than the Easton Rope BBCOR 2024 baseball bat

2024 Easton Rope vs 2024 Rawlings ICON Glowstick
VS
What's the difference?
The most prominent difference between the Easton Rope BBCOR bat and the Rawlings ICON baseball bat is the quality of grip.
The grip of the Rawlings ICON bat was really thin which most players had trouble with. However, the Rope has quite a good grip.
ICON has a slightly heavier swing weight while Rope's swing weight is quite close to the Atlas.
Which one's better and why?
Both the Easton Rope and Rawlings ICON cost the same amount of money. Since the thin grip of the Rawlings ICON causes trouble in performance unless you change it.
The answer here can be a little subjective, if you want a light swinging composite bat go for the Rope (if budget is not an issue and you like Easton bats), and for a slight heavier swing weight ICON is good.
