With the release of the latest Voodoo One BBCOR, There are several questions that needed to be answered.
Obviously, the questions about the durability, is it fixed or not?
The 2024 Voodoo One has got an entirely new knob, and in our initial testing we found it's durability to be better than the last few year's models.
So far, customer reviews also suggest that the durability has been fixed. But we're still sceptical, as durability test needs long term usage.

Does it feel good in hand or vibrates when mishit?
The new 2024 Voodoo One feels just as expected, it feels light and comfortable in your hands.
However, In hand feel was never a problem in Voodoo One BBCOR series and this year's model is no exception.
While hitting you'll not feel any vibrations or stinging to your hands and the grip also plays an important role in it.
How is the Performance?
This one piece BBCOR bat performs great, the pop is amazing, sweet spot is top notch.
As usual, it comes hot out of the box, thanks to its all alloy construction.
The Stiff feel helps you to swing hard and swing harder and in meant to enhance hitter's performance.
Some players also claim that the performance is better than the 2023 voodoo one but we think it is quite similar.
When compared with the Slugger Atlas side by side, Atlas performed a little better. Still Voodoo one's performance cannot be neglected. It is good.
How good is its Construction?
The 2024 DeMarini Voodoo one has a massive X14 Alloy barrel, that is claimed to be designed specifically for elite power hitters.
The end-cap is also the same as last year, Tracer End-cap made of lightweight composite material.
Since it is a one piece construction expect it to be stiffer, it will not provide you flex as a two piece bat does.
And, now talking about the most doubtful thing; The Knob. This year the knob is changed, it now has Fortified Metal Compound Know which is a combination of alloy and composite material that enhances durability.
Last but not the least, I appreciate the new Expanded Warranty. That means DeMarini will cover multiple repairs or exchanges throughout the first year. Which is crucial especially if you are buying a bat that had so much catastrophic failures in the past.
Is it Durable Enough?
In the initial tests and reviews received from the buyers it can be considered that the durability issues have been fixed.
But let's not be 100 percent sure, because durability is something that needs long term usage.
Since, they are providing multiple exchanges and repairs in the warranty, We can say that it is worth trying.
If it fails you can get replacement.
Is this bat Value for the money?
Now time for the final verdict, is it really worth spending 400 bucks?
The answer to it can be complicated. Let's dive in.
So, we all know that Voodoo one performs great, no doubt. But if it fails in being durable for long term then it is not worth buying.
But, if it holds itself together it is worth every dollar.
Apart from that we still believe trying will not harm you much, since you get it covered in the warranty and their customer support is very good.
Who is recommended to use this BBCOR bat?
It is recommended for players who have the speed for faster swings and have enough power to handle the stiffness. Usually it is preferred by power hitters and versatile hitters.
If you think two piece composite bat is not your thing and hybrid bats are too much for you then this is for you.
Moreover, players who like to have popular equipment that grabs everyone's attention then Obviously, Voodoo one has made enough noise in the past few years.

There is not much changed in the latest 2024 Voodoo One, The barrel, endcap, material these remains the same.
The only changes are, paint, knob and nothing more.
But when it comes to durability and performance, we noticed that durability has improved but the Sweet spot felt a little capped.
I personally did not like the paint though, and that's completely my opinion and does not make any difference to the overall performance, Obviously.

Final Verdict
DeMarini is very confident about the 2024 Voodoo One that it is gonna last longer that the past few years' Voodoo one did.
And initially it seems like that they are right about it though, If you want to give it a chance then you should definitely buy this one.
But if you are not sure and do not want to take risk, We would recommend you go for a previous year model like CAT X or Atlas. Since are tried and test already, there are no durability issues in them.
So far, other than 2024 DeMarini Voodoo One we recommend Marucci CAT X Vanta Black. And we are yet to review it. Stay Tuned.
