As a member of the Hilldale Baseball Club, Otto Briggs used this bat from 1923 through 1925 during which he played in two Negro League World Series. In 1924 Briggs smacked .273 during the series, although his club lost the championship to the Kansas City Monarchs. During the 1925 season Briggs batted .332 to help his team make it again to the World Series. This time they were victorious by beating their rivals, the Monarchs.
